Hip-hop loyalists and veterans gathered at Loading Zone on Sunday night to share in their love of Hawaii urban street culture. The night started with a viewing of Ice T’s award winning film ”Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap.” Afterwards, guest speaker and Ethnic Studies Professor Roderick Labrador from University of Hawaii led an open discussion about the state of hip-hop in Hawaii. The event was organized by Dancers Unlimited, Made You Look and Curators of Hip Hop.
