Women of The Junior League of Honolulu and their guests attended a preview for the group’s Sacs in the City event on Friday evening at the Diane von Furstenberg store at Ala Moana Center. The party drew a large, fashionable crowd, with those in attendance mingling, enjoying appetizers and drinks and browsing DVF’s Spring 2012 collection, which includes colorful gauzy tops and dresses, as well as the designer’s iconic prints.
Special guests included Hawaii’s own, Project Runway finalist Andy South, Mrs. Hawaii United States Christy O’Clary and Mrs. America Lara Leimana Fonoimoana, who will be the Master of Ceremonies at next month’s Sacs in the City gala.
DVF has partnered with The Junior League, which promotes voluntarism and leadership among women, for the big annual Sacs in the City fundraiser, which will be held March 3 at the Sheraton Waikiki. The event will feature a fashion show by Diane von Furstenberg, a luncheon and luxury silent auction. Tickets can be purchased at juniorleagueofhonolulu.org
