Thousands turned out for Saturday’s “Hawaii Five-0″ Season 2 premiere at Sunset on the Beach. Along with seeing the world premiere of Season 2′s opening episode, those attending the event caught all the “Five-0″ stars as they walked a red carpet along Waikiki Beach.

Some fans began camping out early Saturday morning to take part in the huge star fest, while others flew in from all over the country just to see the premiere. The celebs in attendance included Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Masi Oka, Terry O’Quinn, Lauren German, Mark Dacascos, Taylor Wily, Teilor Grubbs and Executive Producers Peter Lenkov and Roberto Orci.

Prior to the screening, Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle declared Sept. 10 as “Hawaii Five-0 Day.” There was also live entertainment by Hapa, a cultural tribute and fire dancing and an introduction from CBS Television President David Stapf.

We won’t give away major plot points for the season opener, but we can say the high drama of Steve McGarrett’s quest to find the truth and attempt to prove his innocence drew lots of cheers from the crowd.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures and for all the great coverage of H50. You guys do a great job and I am very appreciative. I wonder, though, if you could improve the user experience on your slideshows. It was really difficult to try to go through all of the pictures on this page—you had to scroll down to the picture slideshow you wanted, click “next”. And then the entire page had to refresh, which took a lot of time, and then you had to scroll down the page again. This happened *every time* you clicked “next”. A real pain.
 
Having thumbnails of the images might have helped. Also perhaps numbering the pictures 1 through n also would have allowed people to jump ahead if they wished. Allowing the picture only to refresh in the page would have been the biggest help, so that there was no scrolling and so all the elements on the page did not have to refresh every single time.
 
Just some suggestions to make your site even better than it already is. Mahalo!
