Readers have two weeks to vote online at nonstophonolulu.com to pick their faves in categories that range from poke to pizza. Nonstop’s editors and writers selected the five nominees in each category, focusing primarily on Hawaiʻi-owned eateries and establishments.
The winners will be announced at a huge streetfest set for Saturday, Oct. 22, from 4 to 10 p.m. in Kakaʻako. The event, Nonstop Kakaʻako, will be a huge collaborative block party, thrown by Kamehameha Schools, Nonstop Honolulu, Streetgrindz.com and Say I Do by Karisa.
Along with showcasing and selling food from several of our Best of Nonstop nominees, Nonstop Kakaʻako will feature live music and entertainment on multiple stages, art, a beer garden with poke bar, shopping lounge, a beauty bar, martini bar and more. The UH Warrior football homecoming game will also be shown on a large screen at the event.
The streetfest will take place along Coral, Keawe and Auahi streets, which are being closed for the event. Free parking is available at 555 South St. There also will be a shopping valet to allow attendees to park their purchases while they take part in the festivities, including tasting some of the best eats on Oʻahu.
Visit nonstophonolulu.com to vote in the Best of Nonstop contest from Oct. 3 through Oct. 16, as well as find out more information about Nonstop Kakaʻako.
