After a week of phenomenal food by 75 of the best chefs from around the world, it proved difficult to pick the best of the best dishes and moments. Spread over 17 events, chefs continuously wowed attendees, resulting in a week-long foodie celebration from which I am still recovering.
The gambit of choices proved to be mind boggling, but I’ve managed to whittle my list of favorites down to 14 picks.
After Party (14 of 14)
The first dish I knew had to go into this gallery was Lee Anne Wong's parmesan noodles from the festival's official after-party at Japengo on Friday night.
The rich and creamy broth hit the spot and made the perfect late-night dish. It proved to be popular among the chefs. That night, Bob McGee called it an, "Umami Bomb," while Dominique Crenn commented via Twitter that it was the best thing she ate at the festival. I definitely agree with them, and the only thing better than this dish was when Wong served the leftovers Saturday night at the unofficial after-party at Taste.
