M&M eats: Monkeypod Kitchen

Nonstop’s intrepid eating duo is back, this time for a look at a buzz-worthy Ko Olina spot

Posted January 23, 2013 by Mari Taketa

Happy new year, people! Nonstop’s M&M opens the year with a girls’ night far from our usual townie haunts, out in Leeward Oahu for a look at Peter Merriman’s new Ko Olina spot.

The place was buzzing on a recent Friday, weeks after its late December soft opening and just before the Feb. 1 grand opening. True to Merriman’s formula at his six other restaurants and partnerships, the locale is geared toward visitors as well as locals. Think tiki torches, lava rock columns and a beautiful monkeypod staircase, all within a stone’s throw of the Ihilani resort.

But the food! Worth the drive? Worth the buzz? Sit back and find out.
