Back after a short hiatus, Honolulu Night + Market lit up Kakaako on Saturday night, double the size of last time and connecting with an artrageous Pow Wow up and down two blocks of Auahi Street.
On hand: 100 local and international urban artists and their works, food trucks, pop-up shops, live entertainment, street performers, a 21-plus bar and more. Pow Wow’s urban street art exhibits packed in the crowds, with live art and DJs. On center stage in the Auahi parking lot, Fighting Eel unveiled its Spring 2013 and Ava Sky collections at a fashion show, then Black Square played live.
This was the biggest, by far, of any of Honolulu’s Night Markets, with an estimated 5,000 showing up and 1,300 Instagrams posted by midnight. In case you missed it, here’s a taste of the scene.
