Did this: Joy of Sake Kick-Off Party

Tuesday night’s happy sipfest was only a precursor to next month’s mammoth event

Joy of Sake Kick-Off Party

Not yet! The annual Joy of Sake happens next month, a record 360 premium sake making their U.S. debut at Pier 2 at the height of midsummer.

No, last night was the kick-off party for the Joy, because with the rising popularity of sake in Hawaii, we just can't get enough, not from one mammoth sip-fest per year. So happily, we now get small-batch previews throughout the year.

sakeshop the food, open-air ambience and chance to vertical-taste all this sake made for a VERY good time, but i wish u'd been there to help w/ food pairing recs ;)

nonstopmari Sounds like it was a nice event! I'm sure you did fine w/ the food pairing. After all, experimenting w/ different sake & food combinations is part of the fun!

Yummm! I'd love to try some of those. And yes, that last picture is just about what I expected after 41 tastes of sake. :)

Melissa808 268 pts moderator

EO:  Ok, what's happening in pix #15?!  Maybe a haiku is warranted.

nonstopmari 245 pts moderator

Annoddah_Dave someone wd have to drink a lot of sake to write a haiku for that one!
