Did this: Garlic & Ginger Festival

The stinky bulb and the spicy rhizome headlined last night’s redolent celebration

Yes, garlic ice cream. Yes, ginger cotton candy. And why not? Separately or together, garlic and ginger are two of the driving flavor forces behind the eats we love.

Which is why upwards of 1,000 people turned out for Thursday’s Garlic & Ginger Festival in the Ward Centre parking lot, for garlicky, gingery dishes from places like Prima and Poke Stop, live music and the chance to celebrate the stinky bulb and the spicy rhizome.
