Dinner at Morio’s

Morio’s Sushi Bistro is now on King Street, so we went to check it out. It’s not just dinner, it’s a dining experience

Dinner at Morio's

If you are a fan of the cute sushi bar called Morio's, you know by now that it's moved from Waikiki to a slightly larger, more centrally located space on King St. It's still BYOB, still got the great, fresh fish, and — most of all — still has its gregarious, eccentric namesake, Morio. (Apparently he's just Morio, like Cher or Madonna.)

Park in back, where you would for Precision Radio. At this writing, Morio is considering enforcing a policy on reservations, since the occasional no-shows are a detriment to business and impact those on the waiting list.

Delicate Blossom: Tried to get reservations a couple of weeks ago and was denied. This place must require reservations 6 months in advance! Still want to try it! Can I say I know you???

Annoddah_Dave Maybe it was the night you wanted that was hard to get? We went on a Thursday, and when I called for rezzies a few weeks in advance, it wasn't a problem! I'm sure it goes in waves....try again!

lihinggirljlieu I was happy to go with a good lil eater like Kristen. When you can be an uninhibited eater, the dining experience is even better!

Love Morio! The guy is hilarious and he certainly loves women and to joke with them. Garans you get bonus points if you bring cute girls w/ you. I brought a date to his old location one time and one of the first things he asked her was "Do you spit or swallow?" LOL Of course he was referring to the upcoming dish of food he was serving...

These blogs have suddenly really taken a turn, for the better! omg talk PLUS a review of an BYOB place? 100 stars in my book!

townieUHfan let's be clear, sakeshop claimed I was gushing about his unagi. Morio's "unagi" was NOT gushing! If it was, I did not cause it! LOL
