It’s been quite a long day, with 10 hours of flying, a long bus ride in, then a two-hour party followed by ramen. But we made it to Sapporo, located on Japan’s northernmost island, to see what Hawaiian Airlines’ newest destination has in store.
Sapporo is Japan’s fifth largest city, and despite having many of the same business and industrial structures of large metropolitan areas, the place has a vibe that (so far) is similar to more laid-back destinations like San Francisco or even Paris. I know people are still left wondering what Japanese hotel rooms look like, even after seeing their photos online. Here’s a video to walk you through my room at the Sapporo Grand Hotel to give you better perspective of the size. Not bad. We are also across from Lawsons, so we’ve already filled our in-room refrigerators with Japanese coffees and vitamin drinks!
