The 14th Annual Lantern Floating Hawaii on Monday at Magic Island brought out an estimated 40,000 people for a night of solemn reflection and remembrance of lost loved ones

The 14th Annual Lantern Floating Hawaii ceremony, with a theme of “Many Rivers, One Ocean,” was held on Monday, Memorial Day, at Magic Island and the shores of Ala Moana Beach Park. An estimated 40,000 people from all over the world gathered for the beautiful night of solemn reflection and remembrance for lost loved ones.

Presented by the Nā Lei Aloha Foundation and officiated by the Shinnyo-en Buddhists, this year’s ceremony included musical performances by Raiatea Helm, the Brothers Cazimero, Shinnyo Taiko, Hālau Ka Liko Pua O Kalaniākea and the Shinnyo-en Shomyo Choir.

Tracy,

Do you happen to know the names of the songs performed by the brothers Cazimero during this lantern floating? I got to know them just recently and can't seem to have enough of their music. However, there was one particular song performed that evening that is still haunting me...I am desperately combing their 36+ albums and cannot find it...Please anyone, if you were there, list all the four names or so of the song performed by the Cazimeros. Thanks so much! Mahalo~Herman

Herman_K Oooh, that's a good question, Herman. I could tell you if I'd taken video, but I only got photos that night. I believe one of the songs was "Hula Eyes" though. You may want to try writing whoever maintains The Brothers Cazimero Facebook page and see if they know!

chant808 Thanks very much for your response! I will try checking with the Bros Cazimero's fans on Facebook and hopefully will find the answer to my question...

All the best!!!

Herman
