Honolulu indie rock fans were treated to a performance by Divine Fits Monday evening at the Republik. The show built onto the reputation of Divine Fits as being a live band to watch, with lead singers Britt Daniel and Dan Boeckner trading off on vocals, accompanied by Sam Brown’s jubilant drumming and the ethereal synthesizer zest of Alex Fischel. Local band Animal Mother also performed in a surprise opening performance. This was the first appearance by Divine Fits in Honolulu, but from the crowd reaction, it should not be their last.
