The SPELLS promotion team, which focuses on fresh, avant-garde electronica acts, held its first show in Chinatown on Saturday at NextDoor, with headliners Com Truise and Addison Groove. Com Truise is one of the many personas of producer and designer Seth Haley, while Addison Groove is an alias of dubstep artist Headhunter. The crowd packed NextDoor to rock out to the acts, which were at times very danceable, at other times, a fascinating listening experience.
