Red Bull sponsored the Thre3style DJ competition Friday night at SoHo Mixed Media Bar as part of an international Red Bull DJ competition. Eight of Honolulu’s DJs, Technique, SSSolution, Mike D, Shift, Jami, Bozu, Compose and Soundcheck, were judged on 15-minute sets that had to contain three musical genres. The panel of judges that consisted of industry veterans G-Spot, Jimmy Taco and NextDoor owner Chris Kahunahana, based their scores on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction.
Congratulations to DJ Compose of Nocturnal Sound Krew, who walked away the champion and gets to go on to the semifinals!
