Hawaiian Islands Brewing Co. launched Hawaii’s newest microbrew Thursday at Vice with a free beer tasting and entertainment

Posted October 4, 2012 by Tracy Chan

A big pau hana crowd came to Vice Nightclub Wednesday evening for the launch of a new local microbrew, hi Beer, a product of Hawaiian Islands Brewing Co., in partnership with the In4mation crew. The brewing company joins Inferno’s Wood Fire Pizza as the latest business to find a home at Vice. From 5-6:30 p.m., guests got to sample three of the new brews for free – A light lager, medium IPA and dark Kona Coffee Stout – and meet brewmaster Greg Yount and HI Brewing Co. owner Frank Wenzl.

Later, Humble Soul and JAI performed, with DJs Toma and KSmooth on the decks and additional drink and pizza specials. A portion of the proceeds will go to Hawaii Foodbank.
