Party pics: Mardi Gras Carnaval 2013

The huge annual Mardi Gras Carnaval block party took over the Chinatown Arts District, with thousands of revelers in beads making merry in the streets

The huge annual Mardi Gras Carnaval block party took over the Chinatown Arts District, with 10,000+ revelers, beads, glitter, food tents and food trucks, finery vendors, three stages with New Orleans funk, Cajun, Caribbean and Brazilian music, eye-popping floats and even parades featuring Brazilian batucadas and samba dancers.

After the street festival ended at 10 p.m., partygoers headed to the clubs for the Carnaval Club Crawl, at nine venues for one cover: Adega, Bar 35, thirtyninehotel, NextDoor, Lotus, Manifest, SoHo, Mercury and The Venue.
