Joining other Japanese consuls around the world, Honolulu’s Consul General Yoshihiko Kamo celebrated the birthday of Japan Emperor Akihito last night at a grand party at the consulate on Nu’uanu Avenue.

Active food stations serving sushi, tempura, grilled abalone and yakitori sticks were appropriate finger foods to go with the 31 types of sake provided by Kokusai Sake Kai.
