As an Audi owner and enthusiast of sports cars in general, it comes as no surprise that I was excited to be invited to the Audi R8 GT Preview event in Sonoma, Calif..
As part of a national media and buyer’s preview of Audi’s newest supercar, people from around the nation gathered at the Bardessono Hotel in the quaint town of Yountville in the heart of California’s wine country for a track day and unveiling of the R8 GT, representing what Audi is calling “the pinnacle of performance” in their automobile lineup.
Day one took @Wongie808 and I from Honolulu, Hawaii to Napa Valley for a dinner reception followed by a day at Infineon Raceway for some driving before heading back home. Here are some photos:
Today we’ll get the chance to drive the new Audi R8 GT at Infineon Raceway and test the car’s ability on the track. Wish me luck!
