If you’re around Sheraton Waikiki tomorrow, you might see some daredevils rappelling down 31 stories in a promotional event for Special Olympics Hawaii. I got to go ‘Over the Edge’ myself on Friday’s media preview day, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The rappelling process is actually quite easy, and the experts on site make sure you are properly trained and safe before you go.
Over the Edge participants were able to successfully fundraise a minimum of $1,000 for Special Olympics Hawaii athletes in order to secure their rappelling spots for this annual event. They’ve recently extended the fundraising deadline by three weeks, and there are still spots left, so if you’re interested, please check out their website or head on down to the Sheraton Waikiki today (November 3rd) to check it out!
