The skies lit up in an impressive light show on the night of May 1
I was actually getting ready to go to bed early after a long weekend, when the sky above my house began to light up. I quickly scrambled to grab the camera and tripod, and proceeded to sit outside for the next 45 minutes, clicking away. Here are a few of my favorites before I go to bed (for real this time!).

That's neat. Hard to do with a point and shoot unless you set it up early. I miss my old SLR. One day :)

Hey Dallas, you use Bulb setting for this, right? I tried it last night, and it seems fairly easy... just hold down the shutter until you get some lightning and then release... Any tips on how to do it during the daytime though?
