The HIFF China Night Gala was an Education Program fundraiser for the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Academy of Creative Media (ACM) Film Student Exchange with Shanghai University, in honor of Chinese media icon, entrepreneur and philanthropist Yue-Sai Kan, who received HIFF’s Lifetime Achievement Award. VIPs in attendance included Miss Universe China 2012, Diana Xu, Korean actor Daniel Henney and Chinese actress Joan Chen.
