First Friday is going to be a busy one once again; here are a few suggested events to get your night started!
-Fashion as Art @ HISAM: The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the Hawaii State Art Museum (HiSAM) host this formal event, part of Hawaii Fashion Month. Hawaii designers will showcase evening and bridal gowns in the HiSAM sculpture garden. 6-9 p.m., free; all ages.
-Hawaii Watercolor Society @ The ARTS at Marks Garage: An open exhibit featuring some of the best watercolors by the Hawaii Watercolor Society, with music by Sean Cleland. 6-9 p.m., free, all ages.
-Quadraphonix @ thirtyninehotel: Local band Quadraphonix plays live from 7-9 p.m., followed by the thirtyninehotel resident DJs Mark Chittom, Farley & Eric. 7 p.m.-2 a.m., $10, 21+.
-First Fridays @ The Fix: Get down with drink specials, gogos and more. 9 p.m.-2 a.m., $5, 21+.
-Sound of Music @ Loading Zone: A special exhibition inspired by National Dance Week Hawaii (Sept 29th- October 6th) features performing and visual artists from Hawaii and NYC. 10 p.m.-2 a.m.; free, 21+.
-DJ Loxy @ Club Underground: Get your drum & bass fix (Mercury Bar is still renovating) underneath The Fix, with Slow & Low presenting UK DJ Loxy. 9 p.m.-2 a.m., $10, 18+.
