First Thursday Poetry Slam

The nationally certified poetry slam showcase with music, live art and spoken word guests, hosted every month by Kealoha, is back! This month's guests are Natasha T. Miller (Women of The World Finalist) and Kim Johnson (Individual World Poetry Slam Finalist). This slam will be the last chance for poets to qualify for the HawaiiSlam Finals on April 5; the winners of the finals will be the next team to represent Hawaii at the 2012 National Poetry Slam in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Fresh Cafe; Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m.; $3 before 8:30 p.m. and $5 after; all ages
