The first First Thursday poetry slam of the year kicks things off with a high-energy night featuring wordsmith G. He ranked second at the Ontario International Poetry Slam and has performed at venues and universities across the nation including the Sundance Film Festival, Bonnaroo Music Festival, and the historic Nuyorican Poets’ Café. This month's event is also an official qualifier for the 2013-2014 HawaiiSlam season, with the top two poets advancing to the 2014 Grand Slam Finals.
