Sunset Room's Grand Opening (2 of 13)
Aloha Tower isn't scheduled to be remodeled until late this year, but in the meantime, exciting things are going to be happening, and the center of it all is the Sunset Room, the spacious, classy indoor-outdoor venue above Gordon Biersch. The Artist Movement director Andreas Counnas, Asylum's Willis Haltom and Darren Zane, along with creative director Tammy Shaffer and a crew of nightlife veterans, have banded together to create a new club and do what they do best, which is bring in world-class talent and amazing music with a great sound system and visuals.
The crowd? That's up to you, but seriously, you won't want to miss what they have coming: names like Seattle house music veteran DJ Donald Glaude (playing the grand opening on Friday) and NYC's Paul Mahoney of dance-punk group LCD Soundsystem, playing on Saturday.
