HawaiiSlam Finals (2 of 17)
It's the biggest slam poetry event of the year in Hawaii! The Grand Slam Finals are this week at Fresh Cafe, with the 12 best poets from the 2011-2012 season going head-to-head with their strongest pieces in a three-round elimination match. The winners will go on to represent Hawaii in the national Slams.
Special guests this month are Joaquin Zihuatanejo and Natasha Carrizosa, both poetry superstars who have performed all over the world and will be doing a mix of duet and solo pieces for us.
