Twenty guests were invited to Taste in Kaka‘ako to sample plantation-era-inspired dishes created by Noguchi and his student crew.
Along with Noguchi, the November 2 event at Kapolei High School Plaza will feature chefs Lee Anne Wong, Chris Okuhara of Miso & Ale, Darryl Shinogi from Roy’s Ko Olina, Ori Ann Li of Ori Ann’s Vegan Kitchen, Robert “Kealoha” Domingo of Highway Inn Kaka’ako and Eddie Mafnas from Firehouse.

Ed Morita spent more than a decade working as a pastry chef at some of the country's premiere resorts and restaurants, including the Halekulani Hotel, The Greenbrier Resort & Spa in West Virginia, Bay Harbor Yacht Club in Michigan and Longhi’s Restaurant in Honolulu.
