Shokudo Thriller

The new dishes are only a preview of what’s to come

Posted October 30, 2013 by Ed Morita

I was treated to a Halloween season treat when I was invited to sample some of the new items on the Shokudo menu.

The new dishes are only a preview of what’s to come. Shokudo plans to begin patio service in a hedged off area in front of the restaurant in December and open a Tex-Mex-themed restaurant in Waikiki called “Bûho Cocina y Cantina,” which is slated to open in April 2014 at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza.

Halloween Thriller

Aside from some new menu items, the staff, decked out in their best ghoul makeup, broke into dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in the middle of service.
