The new Clear the Smoke photo project, sponsored by the Hawaii Department of Health and funded in part by the Hawaii Tobacco Prevention and Control Trust Fund, unveiled its first show at The ARTS at Marks Garage Friday evening to a mixed crowd of artists and interested spectators.

Awards were also given out to a few finalists for their work. First place went to local photographer Shireen Pakai for her photo, taken at Bellows, of a crab holding a cigarette butt.
